3 Day – Zero to Hero

This 3 day Beginner Stand up paddle boarding Zero to Hero course will teach you all of the skills you will need to stand up and paddle your SUP board with confidence, be able to self rescue and know some of the all important water craft skills plan, deliver and make your future SUP days out a success.
During your 3 days we also include skills and drills sessions that focus on paddle technique and more advance board skills so that we can also take you on guided river trips along the stunning backwater and creeks of the Truro river. These guided river trips are super easy as we float along with the wind behind and the tide running with us all the way to the mouth of the river and a particularly stunning quayside pub for refreshments and something to eat, perfect.
Based in St Ives is one of the top holiday destinations in the UK and a beautiful fishing village / town with stunning views, golden sandy beaches, great restaurants and bars plus accommodation to suit all needs. Living in St Ives we know all of the best places to eat and drink but for sure we will have the obligatory BBQ and sun downer at a beautiful spot we know.
DAY 1- Learning to Stand up paddle board
Day 1 is all about teaching you how to Stand up paddle board and paddle comfortably out and back from our stunning beaches so that by the end of the day you can demonstrate your new found skills and pass your BSUPA level 1 and get a signed and sealed BSUPA Level 1 certificate.
We will also include an extended paddle to make the most of a beautiful day out on the water maybe even see a seal or two and if we are really lucky the dolphins of ST ives bay. If there are some small waves then we will have a go at SUP Surfing which is huge amounts of fun and again is something that everyone can do.

Day 2 and 3 – Helford River trip with coaching
On Day 2 and 3 we head to the Helford river and its beautiful creeks and back water ways for a really easy paddle meandering down the river taking in its wildlife and stunning views along the way. During the River trip we will give adhoc coaching to extend your paddle strength by improving technique, board stance and body posture plus getting a large bite of soul food on the way. Paddle boarding on the rivers, flowing with the current and with the wind behind us is actually an easy paddle and allows us to travel a fair distance 4 miles or so with ease stopping for lunch at a rather fab, water side pub :o)
